In a press release sent earlier today, the Working Families Party announced their endorsement of Kevin Cahill for reelection to the 103rd Assembly District of New York.
Working Families Party Political Director Ari Kamen said, “We’re proud to endorse Assemblyman Kevin Cahill because we know he will continue to stand up for working families. “The WFP has become the greatest voice of progress in New York and one of the most important voices for working families in our nation.” Assemblyman Cahill said, “I could not be more proud than to accept their support and nomination.”
Local members and former elected officials also showed support and commended Kevin for his strong record on progressive issues:
Kathleen KT Tobin, former New Paltz School Board Trustee and local WFP member said, “As a registered member of the Working Families Party, I am very pleased that my party has chosen to endorse Assemblyman Kevin Cahill in his efforts to continue fighting for progressive policy and law on behalf of our district in our state capitol. Cahill is the real deal – his commitment and track record shows it. He goes beyond talk: promoting, advancing, and achieving progressive legislation. With his values, work ethic, and vision, Cahill is clearly the most qualified and progressive candidate in the race.”
Jennifer Fuentes, Former City of Kingston Alderwoman and local WFP member said, “Kevin is the smart choice for the people of our community. He has consistently voted for measures that are in line with the priorities of our party. With our help he will continue to be the powerful voice of his constituents in Albany.”
